Requirements and Application Materials
- One of the following:
- The completion of an undergraduate degree in Computer Science or closely related major
- The successful completion of one of our Principles of Programming courses as a Student-at-Large.
- Official Undergraduate transcripts.
- The Standard GRE Examination (no subject exam required).
- For International Students, the university requires an English language proficiency test score. Details can be found through the graduate school website.
- Two letters of recommendation, preferably from academic sources.
- A Statement of Purpose.
- Resume or CV

- a baccalaureate or master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- a background equal to that required for the B.S. degree at Northern Illinois University.
- Official Undergraduate transcripts.
