Doctoral Program
The Computer Science Department at Northern Illinois University offers a Ph.D. in Computer Science and is accepting applications from motivated students interested in moving the field forward. Our faculty have varied research interests, and prospective students are encouraged to contact faculty they are interested in working with. Current focus areas include Data Analytics, Graphics and Visualization, and Bioinformatics. Students become active members of the research community and have opportunities to mentor other students.
